I've heard that you can get all 4 wisdom teeth removed for about 100k. Does anyone know if you need insurance to get this price? If so, what is a ballpark for one without insurance? |

A Gangnam dentist quoted me 10,000 won to extract a wisdom tooth!! I had to ask him 3 times over if that was correct. You can barely buy a drink in Gangnam for 10,000!!
For some reason, taking out wisdom teeth is really cheap here. Insurance or no insurance. |

I paid 7,000 won per tooth with anesthetic and insurance. He took 1 tooth out per week... each one took him about 5 minutes with no pain or swelling afterwards. It was unbelievable. I didn't even use the pain medication he gave me. |

Are your teeth impacted? That can change the price.
Anyway, mine cost 250,000 total after insurance for four impacted teeth. |

Does anyone know if a sedation option is available over here, rather than just an injection to numb the area? |

Ye Dental Clinic in Mokdong told me that they would do four under general anesthesia, or one by one with local. I got them done two by two at another place under local anesthesia. |

I'm going to have to have my two 'Wisdoms' pulled out soon - and the only way I'm brave enough to go to a Dentist, is if I know I'm going to be sleeping through the entire experience! (lol - self confessed chicken here).
Do you have details as to where it is? Phone etc?
I'm in Yangju (close to Uijeonbu), and although I don't mind travelling the distance to Mokdong if I know I'm going to be knocked-out, it would be handy to find a sedating Dentist closer to me if anyone else has had experiences with one?

Have fun!! I'll never do wisdom teeth extraction under local again (thankfully I only had four, and they're gone), so I hope you find your general anesthetist. Are yours impacted? |

No, although one has broken off right down to the gum - so I guess it's as good as. |

You'll want to get knocked out, then. I heard extractions of teeth broken down low are harder to do. Good luck. |
