I've been a Clemens fan since the redsucks let him go as he was in the twilight of his career, but I am inclined to think Roger isn't exactly truthful in this matter.

What's funny is that different websites are claiming that each side scored a home-run victory yesterday.

Yahoo's headline: Clemens talks 'nonsense" in defense.

Cnnsi's headline: Victory on Capitol Hill?

Personally, I don't think either one of the two men has much credibility, but Clemens has a strong incentive to lie, whereas at least some of Mcnamee's allegations have been corroborated. It either boils down to Clemens is lying, or everyone else is lying.

Tell Congress to get back to work and stay out of trivial crap they have no regulatory oversite of.

Juice everyone. Straight baseball is boring.

Who cares. Its just a sport. Its not like athletes make any real meaningful contribution to society.

I would disagree with that to a certain extent. A lot of athletes get involved in the city they play in (or where they were born) with various charities, etc.
Unfortunately, 99% of the time we only hear about the athletes who are stopped for drunk driving, or getting in fights in strip clubs, or beating their wife/girlfriend, being involved in dog fighting, getting pulled over by the cops while drunk and possessing weed/coke...etc,etc

Tests of syringes and other steroid paraphernalia that trainer Brian McNamee submitted to federal agents will test positive for Roger Clemens' DNA, according to a brief filed in court by McNamee's lawyers.
