Does anyone know how long the regular mail takes to reach, say, the United States? I mailed a letter today and it only cost 500 Won. I was hoping it would end up in the States by the end of the month.

Why is that the case? Just curious to know.

Hell if I know. My best friend and brother live in two different cities in VA. This winter I sent each of them 13 pieces of mail. Not packages, just mail. Not heavy mail. A single photo in each envelope.

AZ (two people), WA, MN (2), FL, GA, and Sweden ALL rec'd ALL of their 13 photos before my brother and my best friend did. ALL of them have rec'd the first three or four (the letters were sent out over a period of 7 weeks or so) letters before my friend/brother had gotten even one. ALL of my friends had rec'd the 13th letter 2 weeks before either my best friend or my brother did.

I have no idea why.

Best Friend sent himself postcards from Mexico and they took three months to get to him.

As another comparison (for the OP), I sent my recertification paperwork on Jan 8th. The GA Professional Standards Committee opened it (who knows when they got it) on the 22nd.

The US post office must have it in English.

I made a PDF file with my address (and phone number, since they usually want a phone number for packages) on it in both English and Korean. I sent it to my family and friends. They just print it and tape it on the box. If they FedEx or one of those routes, where they must use a specific label, they fill that out in English and stick the Korean part somewhere else on the package. It makes things MUCH easier.
