Yeah, that's ridiculous. Sometimes I think Koreans just enjoy hearing themselves talk. Funny, because I had a Korean friend once condescendingly explain to me "the beauty of silencee" that is an aesthetic virtue in some Asian paintings we were looking at, and that foreigners can't understand.
I've been told that "foreigners don't like to travel."
I've also been told that Korean waitresses are better than foreign ones because Koreans don't have to write down the orders on a piece of paper. |
Those are good. |

Anyone have a link to the bad health effects of instant coffee? I couldn't find one! |

Like tea, coffee causes staining of the teeth.

Coffee brewed using a French press method contains oils (cafestol and kahweol)
Blood pressure
Effects on pregnancy and menopause
A February 2003 Danish study of 18,478 women linked heavy coffee consumption during pregnancy to significantly increased risk of stillbirths (but no significantly increased risk of infant death in the first year). "The results seem to indicate a threshold effect around four to seven cups per day," the study reported. Those who drank eight or more cups a day (64 U.S. fl oz or 1.89 L) were at 220% increased risk compared with nondrinkers. This study has not yet been repeated, but has caused some doctors to caution against excessive coffee consumption during pregnancy. |

I'm not a fan of coffee, so I fit that stereotype.
But hey, they grow Green tea and Barley tea here. Why should I bother with Java when I can have the best drinks ever right from the 'tap'?
Of course, no coffee is better than Community Coffee. Maybe I can get my mom to send some up along with the latest shipment. |

You're kidding, right? I wonder who is faster. Me counting a single 100$ bill or a Korean counting ten 10000 won bills.
Anyways, I remember that in the 70s and early 80s, quite a few Americans actually thought Canada was a communist country and that Canadians lived in igloos. |
