Nobody But Me
It happens to all of us. What's yours? And what's your remedy? All I can do is play it, hum it, sing it, and hope it runs its course.
Post your SSIYH here, folks. And while you're at it, your remedy. |

Bing Crosby's SOUTH AMERICA, TAKE IT AWAY song has been stuck in my head lately. I just dance to it.
Crosby does it better, but still: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHOfKPXngFQ |

I sustained a few terrific blows to the head in my yout and am, as an adult, horribly afflicted with the 'earworm' disability. For some reason mostly I get songs from the 80's stuck in me--probably because that's when the majority of the injuries were sustained.
I'm particularly sensitive to Laura Brannigan, and Starship's 'We Built This City on Rock and Roll,' and everything from the soundtrack to 'Footloose' and 'Top Gun.'
I think that's why I'm such a drunk and why I always need loud noises around me at all times. A moment of silence, and it's 'loose; foot loose. Kick off your Sunday shoes,' or 'take a ride into the danger zone,' or 'you take my breath away.'
Damn you, childhood sports-related head traumas! |

Wow, you're not Just John, Justjohn--you're also a TOTAL BASSTURD. That link is all-caps EVIL!!!!! with a bunch of exclamation points.
To cure me I have gone to youtube to listen to the 'Tarako' Brand Cod-Roe and Egg Noodle Song. Evil jingles are the only cure for that ginger-headed puke song you linked me to.

Aaaaaaaaah, that's the cure right there. Sweet cod roe. |
