|
|
When I first started my job I found it difficult to prepare for lessons.
I used to wonder why my co-teacher's powerpoints looked so good.
A few months ago she told me there is a website many school teachers use. If you register as a member, they have lots of good powerpoints and some activities to download for free. They are organized according to the curriculum, so there are resources for Grades 3-6, for many of the lessons you'll teach at an elementary school.
There are also other curriculum-related activities you can use on that website e.g. jeopardy, word searches etc.
Independently, I've located some very good websites with free resources, and I just make alterations to them where necessary.
The site I've alluded to is:-
http://www.indischool.com
Ask your co-teacher to set up an account or ask to use theirs. I've saved about 90-odd powerpoints from that site. I'm going to get some more flash drives, and save even more. |

Ask a Korean co-teacher to sign you up and explain how to navigate it.
I use my co-teacher's login details, and I am now in the process of saving a huge amount of p.p.t.'s for next year, so when it comes to any regular/special class, my prep time will only take a matter of minutes. |

I'm not surprised that my registration number doesn't work. *Sparkling
I'll check it out on Monday. There was another site I posted about last year, which sounds very similar to the one you're describing. There must have been hundreds of lesson plans, from elementary to middle school, with songs, games, powerpoints, etc. If you go back through my previous posts, probably around March or April 2007 you can find it. |

What??? Allow a waegook to have access? Even with an F-5 you can't access or log in to Korean sites. Can you do it with an F-4? Any Gyopo know about that? |

I just tried with my F4 and it didn't work. -.-;; I guess I'll have to ask one the teachers at my school to sign up for me. It specifically says that it's only for registered Korean teachers, so even with a Korean registration number, you most likely wouldn't be able to sign up. |

I've asked for the login information for those websites but she wouldn't provide it. Her excuse is that those websites are for Korean teachers only. |

It sounds like a "bit torrent" file waiting to happen. |

I've been meaning to upload stuff. Might get a chance this week. Some of the stuff is great. Some very good with a few mistakes, watch out for them!! The odd bit of stuff seems a bit boring. |

If someone could upload this, so other teachers can d/l all the plans and powerpoint, it would help some of us out greatly. |

Yes, someone make it happen. Also something like mediafire.com or other share places would be good, that way no one has to seed. |
