Dude, there is no smoking inside public subway stations. I don't know what barn you were raised in, but you deserve a good hit over the head from some cops. Seriously, smoking from the tracks up to the top...

I often hope that something I do will make the pages Dave's someday. I want to be able to say, "Hey, that was me!". And mean it.

If he wasn't smoking in a subway station he'd be parking his car on the sidewalk. Better to keep him off the streets^^.

I've spat on one of the Ajoshi lighting up before he was out of the station. He looked at me with a face of death when I simply pointed to the no smoking sign he was lighting up next to. Flipped him off, and walked away.

If you spat on me, or a Korean well trained in MMA, you would be typing through a straw right now "big man".

Seriously man, spitting on a guy for smoking? You do realize that only 15-20 years ago, parents thought nothing of lighting up in a car with their children, with the windows rolled up? I get pissy about people parking in handicapped spots, but I sure as he!l don't go around spitting on people. That's gross.

Are you joking? Koreans suck in MMA. Lets see theres Choi Hong Man (boring jab freakshow boxer) and Denis Kang (Fake Korean). Tae Kwon Doe isn't going to kick anyone's ass in a street fight. No, Koreans don't know how to fight better- that is a stereotype. If he smokes he is probably out of shape!

I might run into some MMA practitioners in Brazil but not in Korea.

Awwww I am shaking in my boots. seriously. boots ran away... from the same guy that feels it's ok to throw other people's stuff off the counter when they try to jump the line... big man picking on ajumas.

To clarify, I didn't spit in his face, as much as I would have liked to. I spat down next to me while he was to the side of me, as if I hadn't been paying attention and just hit his pants.

I, like you, was taking a stand and showing that their action was inappropriate through less than civilized ways. I was never saying that I am a big man, but threats coming from someone who feels they are a big man for throwing stuff of an old woman off the counter to show their dominance... not that intimidating.

A couple of years ago, I was at a GS25 corner store. I had the smoked hard boiled eggs, crab meet .. 4 Coronas and one of those never expiring sausage sticks on the counter. A Korean women.. no older than 25, put her goods down and tried to butt in front of me. I simply whisked all her stuff on the floor and said sorry. The GS25 clerk smiled and rang up my bill. She was cursing, until I looked back at her and 10 other Koreans and said in English "Do you have a problem *beep*" the store went completely silent until I turned my back and opened the door.

To blaseblasphemener, smoking is gross too. Him breathing his smoke on me is close to me walking up the stairs a little in front of him and dropping a Kimchi @ss-bomb. I realize that Korea doesn't think anything of it for the most part. I was simply showing in an obtuse way that my spitting shouldn't be done in the subway (especially in the direction of people) like his smoking shouldn't be done. Granted the irony was lost on him. Most smokers think that any restriction of their smoking is an act against them, not an act for the sake of others.

Usually when in that situation of breathing in smoke from someone's cigarette the method is to cough and wave the hand in front of your face and give a sharp look at the perp.
That's the usual method.
Spitting on someone while being 'ironic' is a bit odd.
