airfare: did you buy the ticket then get reimbursed (how long did that take? did they wait until you left korea?) or did they buy it directly?
severance: did they pay this into your last pay check, sometime before you left korea, or sent it after you left korea?
i know all public schools are different, but i'm hoping to know what to expect and how common it is from any replies! |

Air - I bought my ticket and was reimbused (by direct deposit to my Korean bank account) on the last day of my contract.
Severance - same. |

Airline ticket was reimbursed the first week I arrived. I showed them my AMEX GC statement.
As I'm finishing up my first year's contract next week, I've been told my severance will accompany my paycheck next week. I've renewed for a second year with my high school. |

GEPIK requires you to buy your ticket and fly to Korea. you are reimbursed for the flight to Korea in your first monthly pay. If not, then you are working for a bad public school. |

sorry, i meant end of contract airfare for those who have finished a public school contract |
