Any Korean companies manufacturing somethng small and sleek with more than 8 gigs of memory? There are several Korean players that I really like (namely the samsung p2 ) but, unfortunately, for the price of 8 gigs you can still get an 80 gig ipod.
I've come around to realize how user friendly some of these other players are. However, 10X the storage space for the same price is such a big draw.
As a side, I noticed basic mini 2 gig players from companies like cowon and iaudio are going for 30-30,000 now. That's a pretty awesome deal when you compare it to the price of a shuffle, sony, or iriver (although they might not be as sexy....except for the ugly ass shuffle of course). |

korean mp3 players are not cheap. YOu can go for a cown D2 or and iRiver clix. I think both have integrated sd slots. The cowon does for sure at any rate. You might want to look at ordering a meizu mini player. they are from china. I friend of mine has had one for almost a year now and he is very happy about. great sound and it can play FLAC. |

Meizus tend to rate very highly at this site: www.head-fi.org. FYI, it's a great site for all things audio. |

I have a Cowon D2 4GB with an 8GB SD card. The sound is brilliant as are the colors. I have watched numerous movies on the small screen and it's not bad. I guess some people just don't like it, though. The battery life is absolutely great. I have literally gone a week listening to music 8-10 hours a day and not run out of battery. Good little player. Oh, and lots of firmware updates with different features. |

Haha. I got the Meizu because of people's feedback on head-fi. That website has cost me a fortune |

actually,
I just recently heard about these meizu players from a positive review on www.anythingbutipod.com
Have any of you had any buggy problems with them? |

Once I disconnected my wife's M6 from the DVD player and it wouldn't turn back on! I thought I'd broken it but it just needed a soft reset. Holding down the enter key for 15 seconds I think. |

I was really unimpressed with Yongsan today.
Vendors were quoting me prices 30% higher than Gmarket! When I showed them the gmarket marked up price and the lowest price on danawa some vendors called me a liar, some just laughed but didn't do anything, and some just started ignoring me altogether. Sorry, I'm not a sucker.
I checked out the samsung t10 and p2, cowon d2 and the meizu player.
All have had great reviews. I came armed with bottom market prices from danawa and gmarket's prices. Most vendors were trying to sell the p2 to me for 280 when it's going for 230 on gmarket. I decided it was bulkier than I wanted. I also ruled out the cowon players due to their bulkiness.
I was trying to check out an 8 gig meizu player but most of the vendors didn't want me to. Some wouldn't show it to me and pretty much every vendor was trying to get me to look at different players instead.
Also, you wouldn't believe the quotes they were giving me on the meizu. It's 130 on gmarket and they were quoting me 225!!!!
I was really pissed off by this time and went to look at some apples. Well the new nano is frackin ugly and the classic isn't really pocket friendly.
I was ready to go home when I realized that I hadn't seen any sonys around but they also have been getting rave reviews.
So I went out and found the sony retailer on the main street and picked up an 8 gig sony player with zero hassle for the same price as danawa lists: 212,000. BTW, it's a seriously awesome player....probably a nano killer. |

Which model did you get? The Sony NWZ-A818? That is a good player. |

I looked at both the 818 and the 618 and ended up going with the 618. |
