Hi all
Couple of videos for those of you that haven't been to the shelter.
The below was taken in June last year (when there were around 210 dogs at the shelter)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqX9Jc5aRBY&feature=related
Contrast this with the below which was taken last weekend (2 Feb) on our weekly Saturday trip to take adopters, fosterers and volunteers to the shelter from Seoul:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0GNTfHdXMI
We did a headcount on Saturday and there are still 128 beautiful dogs there looking for permanent homes. Anyone who is interested in adopting. fostering or just coming along to volunteer (the dogs really appreciate volunteers taking them for walks, they don't get much exercise otherwise as Mrs Jung is flat out trying to look after them all) please contact me at [email protected] or my mobile 010 8940 5233. |
The dogs there really are beautiful! I have my hands full with my foster baby, but there are so many more perfect little dogs (and a few big ones) waiting at the shelter. I really hope they can all be saved. |

People might be interested in attending the music/comedy benefit at Rocky Mountain Tavern in Itaewon this Friday night, Feb. 22,
- if only to see "the Bobster" and "Bramble" finally kiss and make up ...
(or possibly stage the "fight of the year" ...)
Last I heard from "bramble", though, she probably won't be able to attend - though she distributed a couple fliers while carrying her foster dog (who has apparently forgotten it's house-training...)
I think I'll start another thread promoting the RMT gig as an "official/unofficial" dave's forum gathering ... |

I don't know if I can go or not, but yesterday's trip to Itaewon was probably a bit too much for the baby. She's come a long way with housetraining and didn't make a mess in the house all weekend - and I know she enjoyed meeting all of you - but she had to spend a lot of time in her carrier, and she doesn't seem to tolerate the cold weather very well. (I'm sure the buzz cut doesn't help). We'll have to see how it goes. |

[brakbrakbrak ... squaaaaawwwk!] <--- That's supposed to the cluck of a certain barnyard fowl ... haha.
I'm not afraid, even though this is a person who openly supports not only the goals but the means employed by extremist violent terror groups. I'm not afraid that she might put pepper spray in my face because we disagree on some matters of politics, and I'm not afraid that she might break the windows of my home and use red paint to decorate it with hate speech. And I don't care what people say about her, either, she can't be as terrible a person in real life as she presents herself on these forums. I do NOT believe for a minute that just because she supports groups that harass people with death threat phone calls and sends bombs and letters that contain rusty razor blades to the family members of people working in laboratories that are trying to cure cancer and diabetes - I don't believe she would ever consider doing those things, even though she supports terror groups that do those things.
Honestly, I'm not afraid. I'm not. I may ask my wife if she wants to stay home, but that would be up to her. I mean, MY face has been shown on these forums, but I don't believe someone would go after people I love. I don't think there's any evidence that someone who supports the methods used by extremist animal rights terror cells would possibly behave that way themselves ... Actually, I think maybe I WILL suggest that my wife stay home.
But I'm not afraid. Not me.

| Stop using these forums to bully people who disagree with you. If we both end up going, we'll ignore each other. If you start anything, I'll get the police involved. |

HHhhmmmmphh!
Well, I, at least was kidding around.
Hey, look, you're perfectly safe. I mean I'm not the one who supports terrorist groups. I'm completely against violence for any reason ... I keep hoping to hear you say something like that, of course.

You take the internet too seriously. Is the internet your life? Put down the crack pipe and relax a little. |

She turned the thread into a personal attack against her, as usual. |

Anyways....
Getting back to the point of the thread - I have posted more info on the below thread that RTeacher started (looks like the event could become an unofficial Dave's ESL get-together):
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=113889
Hope to see some of you on Friday night, will buy a beer for any Dave's members that come along. |

| Wish I could make it but its way to far away for us (9 hour round trip). I'll give the money directly to Annie on Sunday instead of a ticket. |

I think he's the first guy to notice there's more than one way to interpret the title of this thread, haha ... slipped by me, anyway.
I be there, and tim I'll take you up on that beer, see your bet and possibly raise it by a shooter ... smiles, all.
