Some of the posters were interested in getting together to watch the next UFC event at a bar. We will be having a little pool, for fun of course, if anyone is interested. If you don't want to enter the pool you are still welcome to join us.
Tentative - March 2nd @ 11:15 A.M. @ Wolfhound. The broadcast starts at 11:30 and the fights start usually @ 12:00.
I will avenge the beating I took last time.
The Card is as follows:
Main Card:
Middleweight Title: Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson
Heath Herring .vs. Cheick Kongo
Yushin Okami .vs. Evan Tanner
Jon Fitch .vs. Chris Wilson
Diego Sanchez .vs. David Bielkheden
Preliminary Card:
Jake O' Brien .vs. Andrei Arlovski
Luigi Fioravanti .vs. Luke Cummo
Alessio Sakara .vs. Chris Leben (UFC shows this fight on main card)
Dustin Hazelett .vs. Josh Koscheck
John Halverson .vs. Jorge Gurgel
I'm not 100% which fights will be shown based on conflicting reports, so we may need to have 1 ready incase it's switched out.
If you are interested please PM me with your email address and I can forward you a pool form including the rules. Also if anyone can confirm that Wolfhound will be open and showing the fight on a big screen that would be helpful.
I have 2 posters Emails so far.

I wish I could be there.
Surprising to see Koscheck and Arlovski on the prelim card.
Are you going to start up an online pool again? |

If I put the online one on then it kills the pool we have planned. Even if only 2 people show up at the meeting I'm in for the next fight as well. I hope to see you there. |

Arlovski is leaving the UFC after this fight so Dana White doesn't want to give him any hype on his way out. |

Is he going to Japan with Crocop? |

I went by Wolfhound today and he said they wont know until at least 1 week prior to the fight. Seems soccer is more important. I assume English soccer is the most watched in Korea, so with England 8 hours behind us that puts our match here:
Saturday, March 1, 2008
15:00 Arsenal v Aston Villa
15:00 UK Birmingham v Tottenham
15:00 UK Derby v Sunderland
15:00 UK Fulham v Man Utd
15:00 UK Middlesbrough v Reading
15:00 UK Newcastle v Blackburn
15:00 UK West Ham v Chelsea
17:15 UK Man City v Wigan
Sunday, March 2, 2008
3:15 UK Meeting
3:30 UK Airtime
4:00 UK First Fight
6:00 UK End
13:30 UK Bolton v Liverpool
16:00 UK Everton v Portsmouth
I think we should be good, but does anyone know if they are open @ 11:00 on Sunday. And also are there any other good places we can try ? |

Most UFC cards are pretty predictable. This one has an aura of uncertainty about it. I may not join in but if i do can i still show up before competition and enter into the sweepstakes? |

I too am surprised to see Arlovski and Koscheck on the prelim. Didn't know Arlovski was leaving. I will watch him anywhere he fights, when he's in form he's extremely exciting. I don't like what Dana has done to MMA with his trashy management style. But until there is another game in town, I have to watch UFC, and no other organisation has the excitement in the heavy weight division like the UFC does. Would be better with both Randy and Fedor, but it's still a good division, and I was kind of excited to see Arlovski get back into the division and mix things up.
Still, this leaves an Arlovski vs Fedor fight open, as well as Randy vs Fedor, and Arlovski vs Randy. |

Dream look like it will become the new MMA organization in Japan, picking up where Pride left off. Cro cop is headed there and it would be cool if the picked up Arlovski too.
Theyre setting up a middleweight grand prix with: Lindland, Akiyama, Dennis Kang, Manhoef, Sakuraba and Galesic AND a lightweight grand prix with JZ Calvan, Aoki, Ishida, Uno, Melendez, Kawarjiri and Joachim Hansen. It looks like a merger between the leftover Pride Staff and fighters and K1 Heroes. They have a TV deal is Japan so I assume well get it in Korea. Fedor and Royce Gracie both said they will be fighting with Dream at the press conference. |
