wow i love this thread's premise.

now i think there are two types of awful movies; those u can watch and think they're funny because they're so ridiculously terrible. in this category, i'd place:

the thirteenth warrior. antonio banderas as an arab?? no story to speak of.

deep blue sea. or was that deep blue cliche? it's funny when samuel "remember when i had some cred" l jackson gets it though.

bad boys 2. i think i started enjoying this heap of crap more after having seen hot fuzz. actually anything by michael bay really (is that the director i mean?)

the other type is the kind u can't watch because they are offensively bad in some way. off the top of my head, i recently saw perfume. now the book is interesting for its antiheroic sorta thing, but the movie's just shite. it's hard to empathise wit anybody, and the story and cinematography is not only boring and unimaginative, but also somehow offensive.

i'd also put in this category pretty much any "funny" jim carrey movie apart from mask and perhaps cable guy, and adam sandler movies (except for happy gilmore, billy madison, and punchdrunk love).

1.Titanic

I just wanted the ship to sink and be done with it. Really tedious. Parts were generally just ridiculous as well, i.e Kate Winslet as an early 20th century upper-class woman giving someone the middle finger? Stupid beyond belief.

2. Intersection.

Richard Gere and someone else(?) having some sort of romantic crisis. Just awful.

The dancing penguin movie. Starts our all normal and turns into a save the planet nightmare. If the would have just made the whole movie about the "let me tell something to joo" guy it would have been fine....

Should I count the Star Wars movies as one unit of suck, or six?

1. XXX
2. Congo - "I'm a primatologist, not a pound of sugar!"
3. That movie with the asian girl assassins that comes on cable every day. No dose of yellow fever is enough to redeem that thing.
4. Captain Tomorrow and the Whatever the Title Was. The one with gynneth paltrow and the giant robots. So terrible.
5. Brothers Grimm. So bad that I walked out of the DVD bang. And I was in the middle of having sex.

Movies that I didn't see but assume suck:

1. White Girls
2. Anne B. Real. Read the wikipedia description:
Quote:
Anne B. Real is a 2003 American drama film directed and co-produced by Lisa France. The plot involves the story of a young female rapper Cynthia Gimenez (Janice Richardson) using the inspiration of Anne Frank.
