I'm getting ready to go to Japan and get my new visa. I assume I'll have to get a health test when I get back. My blood pressure is elevated due to a medication I'm taking for my arthritis.

My first question is - should I get on anti-hypertensive drugs before the health check?

My second question is - has anyone with high blood pressure successfully gotten a new visa here? Thanks for your help in advance. |

I got a visa with blood pressure of 170/100 that is way too high. Normal is

120/80. The health test is just looking for people who are HIV+. |
