Presuming all the documents are in order, it generally takes 5-10 working days for the immigration office in Korea to process the application and grant a visa issuance number.
Upon presentation of the visa application issuance number at the consulate, they will generally take 1-2 business days to issue the visa. Be aware that if you're a first time E-2 applicant, or live in the district of a consulate that requires interviews for all applicants (e.g., Chicago), it takes 1-2 days AFTER a successful interview to issue the visa. Depending on the consulate's schedule, you may have to wait a while (up to 2 weeks in the case of Chicago) for an interview appointment. |
