Is your place of employment having troubles finding new teachers?

My academy, which is reliable, trustworthy, and offers a nice little contract, is suddenly having problems getting new teachers.

Is this an industry wide problem since all of the new E-2 regs?

not here. the teacher before me got 2.0 per month. her replacement is getting 2.5. that's a sizable increase. the new teacher has 0 experience.

I'm leaving my job at the end of my second contract in April and I'm sure they will be able to find someone else, though they want a good teacher as the hagwon charges the most tuition in town, so getting another CELTA-certified and/or experienced teacher to come to the rural town might make it more difficult for them.

possibly, i don't really know.

when i started at my job there was a space of 2 or so weeks between the last FT and me. so although i'm sure they'll find another teacher, i think the waiting period will be a bit longer this time around

Just put your resume online at one of the job boards and see how many people phone you and beg you to take their job. I think they are in trouble. What some recruiters told me and the fact that I have not put my resume on English spectrum or worknplay for over 7 months and get 10+ call a day tells you something.
