Kuros, are you from the south?

I'm from the East Coast. Why? (The Lincoln comment was a throw-away joke; hence the emoticon)

I realize that. I should probably do the same, but emoticons make me feel icky. Sarcasm doesn't translate to forum very well.

I was playing on the fact that you are in Kentucky and support Clinton to imply you were subconsciously racist. Maybe not that funny, but they can't all be gold.

it is statements like these that gave the term "liberal" a bad rep. here in the USA.

Actually, I really resent the Obama-Lincoln references because I think Lincoln was not only the best President in American history, but also the best leader of a nation/empire/society in the history of the world. Noh Moo Hyun also used to compare himself to Lincoln. It made me ill.

Now, Kentucky is not exactly the South. Its not the Midwest, either. Furthermore, Louisville, KY is one of the most liberal enclaves in the Midwest OR the South. And I live in the most liberal neighborhood between Baltimore, MD and Austin, TX.

Obama supporter can't name accomplishments - a single one.

I was just waiting for one of the haters to lay that down. You know that guy isn't getting a talking head spot again. The saddest thing is that Obama does have a number of legislative accomplishments. I especially like the bill to give stockholders a say in the amount of pay CEOs receive. And defending provisions of the clean air and clean water acts is pretty good work too.

The odd thing about that exchange was none of Hillary's legislative accomplishments were listed. What are they?

I don't hate Obama.

But asking question means that one is a hater? You mean like a Klansman?

Or that they hate Obama?

Obama is a difficult guy to hate. That doesn't mean you want him be in charge of national security.

If you wanna know who I hate

I hate Counterpunch, John Pilger and those who support them.

I don't hate Obama nor do I associate him with them.

Funnily enough, I think the overly serious nature of "liberal"s is what has given them a bad reputation. Who started all the PC crap?

Kuros, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Joo, I was using "hater" in the 'player/hater' sense of the word. I would agree that most people who don't support Obama don't have a strong enough opinion about him to actually 'hate' him. And unfortunately most of Obama's supporters don't support him as more than an appealing stuffed shirt. It's too bad, he is the best candidate based on policy as well.

Czargeorge - You know you actually made me feel guilty for posting what I did

Then I thought no reason to show Obama mercy or pity. He has a good job, he is rich and he has a good looking wife.

Good for you, Joo. I think most people on this board would be surprised that you are capable of feeling guilt. Wink Laughing

(Do the emoticons make it clear that I'm joking?)

Czarjorge,

Here's an article you might enjoy.

Obama's MBTI personality type is (supposedly) an ENFP, an idealist.

Lincoln's MBTI personality type is an ENT(P/J), a rational.

As a rational myself, I'm pretty defensive about putting Obama into our terrain. If you want to take a brief version of the MBTI, you can go here and find out your personality type. Takes about 10 minutes.

I would agree with you if you would consent to modify that to 'Lincoln was not only the second best President in American history, right between Washington and FDR'...

Washington is in Lincoln's league.

FDR? Do we have to go there?

In Lincoln's league??? Shocked That's very white of you. Ummm, Washington was about 2" shorter, but I'd estimate he beats Lincoln out for top spot by about a head, although Lincoln was the better writer. Even with professional speech writers working for them, no one comes close to Lincoln on that score.
