Hey,
Does anyone know the cheapest way to get to Delhi in India.
I have tried a couple of travel agents in Seoul and have been quoted approx 1 million incl. taxes. Have also tried lookingo on direct airline without too much success.
would love to hear what other people have paid.
I am looking at going at the end of july for ten days. |

You could *technically* do it on low-cost carriers the whole way if you are up to it:
Busan to Macau on Viva Macau
Macau to Bangkok on Thai Air Asia
Bangkok to India via Sri Lanka on Mihin Lanka
It would be cheaper than a non-stop, but it would probably take at least 2 days which is not practical unless you fancy stopping along the way in the above random places.
Another option is to ferry Korea to China, rail onward to Urumqi, then either a flight (or more land transport) onwards to India. |

to Urumqi??????? and fly from there? There are no direct flights. You could fly from there via Islamabad or Tashkent but then it'd costs a thousand u.s.
or by land across the Taklimakan? (or go around the desert through Khazakstan and Kashmir?)
soviet_man, you are talking out of your *beep* |

Choe-song-ham-ni-da, I could of sworn Air China operated from Urumqi to India. Yes possibly I was confusing Pakistan with India. |

Hey, I checked Tourcabin.com (a price comparison travel site of korea sites), and they have prices to New Delhi for around 500,000 (without tax) up until June 30th on Cathay Pacific. Don't know what their July Prices will be. Also, if you would fly from now till March 30th, you could fly on JAL for around 445,000 (without tax).
Hope this helps.
