|

I have no more books (fiction) to read, and I am dying. I know I can use Amazon, but the $13.00 shiping fee per book is a little stiff for me. Can anyone help me find a book ordering service that carries a large catalog of titles?
Thanks |

An alternative idea:
In the past couple of years, I have received shipments of books from the US using the USPS media class. It is approximately 1$ per pound and takes up to 4-5 weeks. BTW, that was delivery to my post office in the Balkans which doesn't have great postal service! I would expect faster delivery to S. Korea.
For the past few years, I have had friends send me their old books and some scour flea markets for me. A $100 or so keeps me knee-deep in books for a year. |

I was in Jamshil Kyobo and decided I wanted to order a book. They looked it up, took my phone number and told me it should take 2 weeks. Ten days later they called and I went down to pick it up. I didn't pay any extra. Whatever shipping fee there was was included in the sticker price: US $12.95 and I paid W14,830.
Friendly. Fast. Cheap. I haven't found a better deal. (I did this before at the Kyobo downtown, but I live too far from there for it to be convenient.) Someone told me I could have had the book delivered to my home. I may try that sometime. |
