I live near a big homeplus store. It has about 6 floors and the building is quite beautiful. It has a big clock on the outside wall and a sign which says 'TESCO' on it, which is a big supermarket chain in England.
Call me sad, but do you feel a slight sense of excitement, like you're going somewhere really special, when you visit homeplus?
Do I feel excited when I go to homeplus, like I'm about to enter a fantastic new theme park?!!!

| I go there 5x a week. I live next door, so I buy my dinner there daily. It lost it's novelty after the 37283p7*10x^2th time. |

I go there almost every day and I'm still not tired of it. Sometimes late at night when my husband is watching our baby, I sneak out to . . . Home Plus. Sad but true. There, in the aisles at midnight, I run into all the other foreign teachers from the neighborhood. It's kind of like meeting up at the bar, but not.  |

| I went to Homeplus looking for a pillowcase, white would be just fine. They looked at me like I was crazy and showed me they only had pink velvet and purple velvet pillowcases. Makes me wonder about Korean homes. |

Well, when comparing with the supermarkets and such back in the UK, yes, Korean ones are far more exciting and "flash"  |

You'd kill to be in my position. You'd then be able to take all those ESL teacher's from homeplus to the love motel for some 'private tutoring'  |

Can some one list a few locations?
Seriously, one of the weird things I love about travelling is going in to different shops/supermarkets and seeing how different it is
When I was in France for 3 weeks staying with a friend I made him take me so many times, lol |

Yeah, walking past high end furniture stores in Hakdong make me wonder what rich Korean homes are like. I've never seen more tasteless, over the top crap in my life. Look, end of the day you're still living in a cement block apartment, even if you have 2 bathrooms and a real bath. The Louis XIV stuff won't convince me you're living in a french mansion. |

If you live in Yongin, you may not be too far from the Homeplus in Youngtong-dong (east Suwon). I know some people who go to that one who live in Yongin. I heard they may have an ok selection of some foreign foods too. |
