I've been entertained by everything they've done. Even Ladykillers and Intolerable Cruelty. Gotta go with Lebowski though. It's absolutely perfect. Every frame, every nuance, every character, every syllable of dialogue is gold. Sadly, comedies aren't often taken seriously. No surprise I guess. No Country, Fargo, Miller's Crossing, Blood Simple, Barton Fink, all great, but I won't rewatch them with anywhere near the frequency that I do Lebowski and Raising Arizona. |

Gotta go with the Lone Biker of the Apocalypse, and a throwback to the long-ago time when Nick Cage was slightly cooler than a wet fart |

1.Lebowski = Perfection in every sense.
2. Oh Brother = Photography and soundtrack perfection.
The rest are very very watchable, bar (sorry) Intolerable cruelty and Ladykillers. Not good at all.
I watched "Crimewave" last year. Strange film. Funny but strange.

Think I need to watch "No country for old men" again. Just one more time to see if I like it. |

Yeah, but the best? For real? I remember liking it, maybe it's time to watch it again... |

i found it by accident, long after it was released. didn't even know who made it. i enjoyed it is DVD room in taiwan. raising arizona isn't aging well. oh brother is a flawed masterpiece. fargo is just too close to home for me to assess in an unbiased way. haven't seen no country for old men.
finding unknown gems is aways gratifying.
the first ten minutes of "the kingdom" is WOW. after that it is just hollowood and updated, PC whiteman's burden. |

I voted "Barton Fink", but I love the line in "Raising Arizona" that goes:

Her insides were a rocky place, where my seed could find no perch. |

NO country is fantastic. I've watched it 6 or 7 times in 3 weeks and I keep getting more out of it. |

And it (R.A.) has the best Polack joke in history.
"How come it takes so many Polacks to change a light bulb?
Cuz they're so darn stupid!"
(or words to that effect) |

"We are nihilists, Lebowski. We care for nothing!"
"Ya, nothing."
Freakin' Genius. Lebowski wins just for the quotability. |

Totally.
"Say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, at least it's an ethos."
My personal favorite. |
