Okay I need help calling a number in America.

Its a business number (in california) and I have tried every combination of numbers but cant get it to work.

I am calling from Seoul, using a mobile phone and an international calling card I bought from GS25.

The business number I want to call is 1 (408) 898-4825

The instructions say dial the country code + area code+ number.

So the international code for america is 001 or 002 so I have tried the following combinations and none of them work.

001-1-408-898-4825
002-1-408-898-4825
001-408-898-4825
002-408-898-4825

None of these work...

This is so frustrating...

Can anyone help?

Thanks

(bolding mine)

Slightly different.

The country code for America is 1, not 001. You only dial 001 if you're calling directly. You're using a calling card. Go through the calling card setup till you get to that point and just dial the number: 1 (408) 898-4825

0388 from your mobile, then the 1 + area code + number.

Rates are 60 or 70 won per minute. In my case, international calls are 10 won more expensive than local calls using that code. Cool

Get Skype or Yahoo Instant Messenger with Voice. Calls are around 1 cent per minute.
