Back home, and wanted to go back to Korea. Didn't sign with the old school who'd treated me great because I wanted a lil bit more money then they were willing to give. My new job is supposed to start the 17th. The school I just signed with and mailed all my hard-to-get documents to emails me this today:
we will open our school soon. We will recruit children aged 5-6, who do not know english. and aged 6-7, who are novice, aged 8-12 , who do know it well. Let me know how you teach them. I mean you make a schedul, Monday through Friday for them. In addition, let me know the home pages of some kindergartens in States. I want to get some information, lunch menu, school regulations, time schedule. we need a good idea of ad for recruting students. I hope you give us many ideas and information for teaching them.
I'm still fairly moist with the mounds of dump that poured out of me in fear. If he's sent my paperwork in, is it too late to halt the process, demand all my paperwork back and crawl back to my old school begging for a job? Or should I be excited to help create a new program? Help!

You've already been in Korea, so you should know that this could be a bad situation. Can't you get back to the other school? |

This could turn out really bad or really great. I worked at a starting school and I never had a full schedule til 10 months into the contract. First few months I worked less that I do now (if you can believe that). It was only after my wife and I left that they hired a new director and the school went bankrupt. |

I've got a job you can walk right into...are your documents ready?? There's an older ad up on here (written by our director...but still has some mistakes)...look for Leaders Prep Academy in Dongtan...but...you can talk to me directly!! We've been here since June...now an enrollment of 200+...seven foreign teachers...if you're getting cold feet...get in touch with me!! We need some quality people...I'll get the ball rolling for you tomorrow!! |
