Has anyone had their passport stamped by the Korean consulate in Sydney?

I just got off the phone to them and they told me I would have to send a flight ticket along with my passport and other documents. Is this usual?

Wtf? I won't be booking or paying for my flight 'til I definitely get that visa & have it back in my hand.

Visa is step 1, flight is step 2.

I think I'll need to give them a ring now too, you've got me worried!

Let me know how it goes.

It is particularly annoying for me because they do not tell us if we need an interview until they get all of our documents.

I live 10 hours away from the consulate.

If I need an interview I will leave for Korea from Sydney to save money. If I do not i will leave from Brisbane.

All I can do now is guess.
