A friend of mine has been asked by their boss to work at an additional branch of the franchise school where she teaches. The boss wants my friend to work one day per week at the other school and she has told my friend that she (her boss) will be getting paid from the other franchise boss for sending my friend down there to teach. My friend refused and said she'd only consider it if her boss made it 'worth' her while, to which her boss replied 'how much?'

My friend has just told me about it and I said that I think that it's illegal to work at two schools even though they're both franchises of the same firm, but that I'm not 100% sure.

Can anyone tell me if she would be breaking the law if she were to go and teach at another branch of the private school where she teaches.

Thanks in advance.

It is not illegal, but you do need to add the new address to the ARC.

It is illegal unless your current boss supplies you with a form stating that he's allowing you to work there along with your work schedule, the boss from the 2nd school supplies you with a form saying you'll be working there, his registration papers, and all the other forms you'll need, along with some cash to give to immi to add the 2nd workplace to your VISA/ARC.

Yeah, definitely make it worth your while. Why should your current boss get anything? Depending on how many classes, how much prep needed, etc., I probably wouldn't settle for less than 150,000 per day.
