So I finally went down to Omokgyo immigration early this morning to extend my visa one day before I fly home.

When I arrived, I took a number, filled out a form, then popped over to an immigration officer who wasn't busy to ask what the fee was to extend my visa. She said 30,000 won, so I went downstairs to buy those little stamps.

When I was downstairs at the booth, I noticed a poster that affirmed the 30,000 won price the immigration official told me. Easy enough. Got 30,000 won worth of stamps, and headed back upstairs to wait.

When it was my turn, I presented the nice immigration lady with my passport, ARC, completed form, copy of my flight itinerary, and my 30,000 won worth of stamps. She stamped my form, took my card and my flight info and handed me back my stamps. I looked at her confused, and said "I was told it cost 30,000 won to extend my visa?". She said "Yes, it does, but today I will do it for you for free. You can take your stamps downstairs for a refund"".

WOOHOO! 30 bucks, is 30 bucks, and I'll take it!

So I smiled, thanked her profusely for her kindness, and waited for my card. 10 minutes later, ARC with extended period of sojourn stamped on the back, I was outta there!

Little things like this just make my day! Smile

Are you extending to work longer? More than a month? Or are you just extending for a few weeks before you fly home for good?

Extending your visa for a few weeks is free.

Only if she's a lesbian...

I'd like to think it's because SeoulShakin has a great smile.
