| With such a short time in BKK and so much to see, I would highly recommend renting a car and driver for the day. Most nicer hotels will have car services or can arrange a car. Additionally, you should consider an all-day taxi which is cheaper than a car service. We stayed at Holiday Inn and rented a Mercedes Benz with English-speaking driver for 8 hours for about $80. We told him where we wanted to go (gave him a list actually) and he made some suggestions as to sightseeing order, drove us to the sights, gave us some history, and waited in the car as we visited the sight. Well worth the money. |
For that price you could get the tuk tuk tour with the tailor made suit. |

| With all due respect, comparing a tuk tuk to an air-conditioned luxury autmobile with English speaking driver is, well, silly. Don't be such a tight wad, spend a little cash. It's not that much money. |

^ He's right.
A decent Benz and driver is a must.
If you stop at the Conrad you can get a Mercedes convertible and driver as well.
OP GET A/C if you are going anytime in the next month, BKK gets farking hot hot hot this time of year. often get some nice rains in the afternoon though. |

Once had a complimentary Benz ride back to my hotel, from a soapy massage parlour in Phuket. It looked like it was from the fifties. Really beat up too. |

i'm not a big fan of the atlanta. not sure about whether you booked in advance or not, but i popped in off-season after having checked the website, and the rates they charged didn't remotely resemble what i had read or been told. i stayed anyway, but know you can do better for the same price. not a bad location though. |
