I have a cold or mild flu. I only seem to have a runny nose now.
I went to the pharmacy and explained myself, or at least I think I did, and I got home and saw I bought a nasal decongestant.
My nose is not blocked, so am I medically ignorant or have I been given the wrong medicine? |

| Do you ever post threads asking about what coloured socks to wear in the mornings? |

Go to the doctor. It costs about 3000won. The pharmacy cannot give you any real medication.
Before I moved here, I would have to be on my deathbed before I went to the doctor. Here I go at the first sign of being sick; or if I cannot, my mother-in-law goes and tells the doctors she has my symptoms and gives me the pills. They work, no sick days in 3 years!!! |

You probably were given a general medicine to relieve your symptoms
I wouldn't worry too much about it.
If you want to ask the pharmacist for cold medicine just ask for 감기약

| Only medicine you need is rest. Any drugs you get are just to dope you up and make you feel too weird to know that you're sick. |

| What is with foreigners getting sick in Korea? Seriously, where you all raised in sterile labs or something. I've never been sick in Korea. Hungover, always. Sick, never. |

That's cause you drink soju. It'll kill everything...even the common cold. Kimchee does the job too. |

Kimchi has been proven to keep you from getting sick. I read about it in the American Journal of Medicine a few years back. It has something to do with your lungs and your breathing, especially in the summer when there are loads of mosquitos all over the place, so.. you should eat your kimchi like you drink your milk. |

Go to Hannam Market and get some good cold medicine. The Korean stuff only works for children and women who weigh less a twig.
Hannam Market has Theraflu and Alka-Seltzer Cold medicine. |

The best thing to do is stay away from sick people. That prevents everything. |
