Ive looked at eslscumbags, and I do say, that he has an impressive blog, and far better than that vancityandy guys. He is far more abusive to everyone on it, and really looks like he doesnt care. As for eslteachertime. Well, lets have a look, its a man , who got take for a ride and wants to get some revenge. You would have to be the biggest liar, if at some point in your life you didnt want to take revenge on something shitty that happened to you. I wouldnt call it depressing. I would see it as realistic

People get screwed.
He's not exacting revenge on the people who screwed him.
He's perpetuating a vicious cycle. He could be the bigger person, cut his losses, and get out of dodge. Instead, he's being a dink.
If he really is an illegal teacher than he should've realized the risks involved.
I read through his blog and he used the example from the sports chosun of the Australian with aids and whatnot. Then someone in this thread used that to defend his aids ranting in class. Unfortunately, the sports chosun is the equivelant of the Sun in the UK or the National Enquirer in the US. It's utter crap printed for idiots. |

I was wondering if you have shown the people at Baekseok University this blog yet? I was hoping that the right people would have a look, and see what their opinion is on the matter, and what steps they took. Ive noticed to that the blog now falls into the top 10 of google, when "Baekseok University" Is typed in.

This fellow with the blog is a disgrace.
At the risk of possibly outing myself, I work at the university where this tool taught over the winter session. I, like all the other full time time instructors, were all away on holiday. I will make some inquiries as to what happened and why he wasn't paid. I confess to being somewhat baffled as to why they would hire someone illegaly. Things there are always run by the book. I will say that in my seven years of working at the uni, NOBODY has ever had an issue with pay. Nobody. Ever.
I'll see what I can find out and post back here.
I have also bookmarked the blog/video entries and will be more than happy to show it to the proper people, just to let them know what a professional, dedicated instructor they've hired. |

Semester starts today. I have class on Wednesday. I'll try to arrange a meeting with some people and show them what a first class professional they'd hired.

This is a quote way back from the first page. It is not that hard to quit a job on an E-2. I have done it once. The most important step is for a person in a bad situation to decide not to put up with it and take the steps needed to legally quit the job. I don't understand this thread. There's a guy. He posts a video of HIMSELF in a classroom asking questions about AIDS (HIV). The kids are Korean and obviously do not understand what AIDS is (they just know it makes people sick).
I think I read somewhere on his blog or on here that the kids are uni students. So, he's teaching uni kids. He finds it amusing that uni kids do not know what AIDS is. He thinks others will too.
His blog is not controversial or "deep" in any way. He's just a guy who thinks that because an asian culture does not fully understand a "mostly" western phenomenon i.e., HIV-AIDS, that it is somehow inferior than his own western culture. He does not have the insight into why this culture does not KNOW about HIV the way his culture does.
I think he would think it is funny that kids here do not know what a car-jacking is.
The guy is not the smartest dim wit teaching in K land. At the same time, he's not really committed any atrocities by portraying himself on tape as a
moron, has he?
