Don't even mention Itaewon.

Are there any that are up on the top floor of some posh sky scraper? I have heard of some really interesting ones in Seoul.
The Dragon Hill in Yongsan is pretty nice as well.

A really good one is in Mokdong at Omokgyo Subway station exit 7. Really nice on the inside and they have an iindoor swimming pool as well. Pretty chilled out.

Let me know your thoughts.

I like "Hurst" Fitness center in Myeong Dong. Relaxing sauna with a great view and a real nice jimjilbang too.

Nothing like getting naked with others of the same sex who love to just let it all hang out, and down, and all over the place. Laughing

Do people really stare at your junk there? I keep reading about that.

If someone is staring at me at a sauna, I just tell them that I have all the same stuff, except mine is better.

Nobody has ever stared at me whenever I have gone to a JimJilBang, except if they were children, which is what I want to avoid. A grown man should know better than to stare, and if they do, I'll stare right back at them, maybe get right up in their face or something.

Really though. Nobody has ever stared at me, unless they were a westerner, which is why I don't particularly care for the one in Itaewon.

They look at me, but usually more of a curious glance at the hairy waegookin... Its probably strange for them to see us in a typically 'Korean' situation... not so much to stare at my tackle...they have all seen enough western porn I guess...

I am more worried that they think all westerners are paedophiles and thats why they throw sidelong glances at me and usher the kids away.......

But I like Dragon hill the most... and Hurest in Myong Dongs not bad...

anyone been to the one near Seoul Station???

Don't know the name, but I believe it's just down the street from myeong dong station, run by a Japanese guy. Best one I've been to so far, but I've only been to a few.

The hands down best sauna in Korea (and one of the biggest in Asia) is Heoshimchang in Busan. Me and a Korean friend just went down to Busan last weekend to hang out and go there. The place is huge with a big glass dome ceiling. On Sunday there easily had to have been 500 males (and I am sure at least that many females).

It isn't a jimjilbang, but if you like relaxing at the sauna I think it is worth taking a trip to Busan ...you can hit Hyundai beach on the same weekend if you go in the summer.

I went to one tonight. The jimjilbang area was great. Relaxing. As soon as I walked into the shower area, there was a man with his son. The look on his face was ridiculous..

"Naga!" he yelled to his son. "Waygook, Naga! Naga!" He yelled again, looking at me the whole time, assuming that I didn't know what that meant. "Get out of here, run. There is a foreigner in here, get out now."

Yeah dude, like I'm going to grab your naked son and start molesting him right there on the floor in front of you. Please.

I'm a bit offended here.

Does anyone know the directions to Hurest Well Being Spa? The last time I went, I couldn't find the place.

Why do they have such a warped opinion of westerners? Where does it come from?

I've lived in foreign countries for 8 years, but the Korean terror at foreigners is beyond anything I've seen or heard anywhere else.
