My laptop works fine like usual except for one thing. The CD drive won't open, and there is a CD in it. I tried shutting the computer down and rebooting. That did not do the trick. How much would it cost to repair this? Can one repair it? I feel like an idiot for doing this, but things happen... I had a lot on my mind when that happened...

Take the CD drive out, clean off the soju, put it back in. Ten bucks says that fixes it.

I didn't spill soju, it was actually luke warm tea. I wish I could say it was soju. So you're saying I should unscrew my computer with a screw driver and somehow get my CD out and then try that? I've never jacked with my computer like that before...

does your laptop drive have a manual eject? if there is a pinhole in the front of the drive you may be able to do it with a paperclip. straighten the paper clip, insert into the pinhole and push. you may have to use a little pressure to get it open.

Tractor, you gave me an idea and deserve a beer. I used a pen to wedge it open. If you want a beer, PM me.
