Just curious what kind of music ladies like to have in the background while at their boyfriend's home visiting (or the other way around). My old standbys are Norah Jones, Eric Clapton's Unplugged CD, and of course Coldplay, but I'm looking for a bit more variety. Oh--and lately the soundtrack from "Once"-- quality.
What do you think? What's some good romantic music? |

I'm partial to Francoise Hardy, a good jazz album (nothing too freaky and nothing too smooth, no John Zorn and no Kenny G.), or one of the Beat at Cinecitta albums -great collections of songs from '60s and '70s Italian sexploitation movies.
I'm a guy incidentally. |

Depends whether you're in seduction mode or you are already an item. Im all cozy and hooked up, so I like stuff like Billy Joel's "Just The Way You Are", Fleetwood Mac's "Songbird" and the Beatles' "Two Of Us" ... |

Isn't it always REO Speedwagon?
Wait....
It's that then PR's suggestion....
REO usually works though. I hate it, but the girls' don't. |

Thanks! OK, the the goal here isn't seduction, just relaxing or for a background thing. Will check out Once Blue, as well as some Billy Joel and REO Speedwagon!
Thanks for the suggestions! Anything else? |

If I ever find a woman who likes to get it on to Death From Above, I'm set for life.
Ladies, any takers? |

Although all of the lyrics might not be so romantic, Sufjan Stevens and Joanna Newsom come to mind for quiet and relaxing. |
