I had someone call for me and the tickets are between 30,000-60,000.
The game starts at 4:30 at the Mapo-gu (Sangnam) Seoul World Cup Stadium.
They said that you might have to book the tickets ahead of time because it could be difficult to get a good seat otherwise.
I hope to be going and want to see LA Galaxy lose.

I didn't think many would want to go but apparently the tickets are selling well. I thought a lot of people would show up to the
Korea vs. Turkmanestan game because their own professional premier league player (Park Ji Sung) was playing but I guess David Beckham is more important than Park Ji Sung. |

I'm going:)
And unlike the masses who are going to see Beckham (who probably will make an appearance for 10 mins before being sent to the bench again) I'm actually going for the atmosphere....I've yet to see a footy game in Seoul and I've heard the Koreans are near fanatical when it comes to supporting their team, so I'm hoping Seoul FC kick some Galaxy b u t t. |

Interesting. I love football but there is no way I would go to this match, even if I could. This is because it will be nothing more than a glorified Beckham circus. For me, Beckham is the epitomy of everything that is wrong with the game.
Btw, most Koreans are not that passionate about football. True, it is one of the major sports in this country and there is hardcore support in places but a lot of the passion at national team matches is more about Korea than footy (though, obviously no one will get too excited about playing the likes of Turkmenistan). |

I 100% agree with you. I actually hope he doesn't play. I can't stand him and his lollilop wife.
I know the footy is not going to be the best, but hey, I know I'm not going to be watching a Premier League/La Liga/Serie A game.
It's just something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon. |

To be honest if I had an afternoon to kill I would go as well. So my initial post was tad harsh.
FC Seoul finished 7/14 in the K-League last season so although they are from the capital they are not necessarily the best team in this country. For all the hype, LA also did not do particularly well in the MLS last season.
Here is a goal from 2004 when Suwon defeated Barcelona 1-0.

Oh, you Brits are still mad at "Becks" for leaving England. Lighten up. He seems like the kind of fella who'd drink a pint with you at the local pub. He's just a regular guy.
Oh, and thanks for not "hooliganing it up" during this soccer game. I know some of you wanted to, but thanks for not doing it. |
