does anyone know if this is possible?
and if so, are there any institutes in Seoul that do offer Korean to foreigners as an intensive or basic course that is also affordable?

I know some universities offer courses but they are quite expensive.

I think to get a student visa you have to enroll at a full time university (not sure). I study 12 hours a week at Ganada Korean Language School. I got a C-3 visa for this which works fine. I used a letter from the school to get the C-3 visa, but you may not even need any letter to get the visa. The C-3 visa is good for 90 days per entry (good 5 years) for a US citizen. Of course Canadians get 180 days without needing any visa.
