Following-Same director as Memento and a similar story. I bought the DVD in Korea but it was called Memento 2. Following is actually older than Memento.

Matewan by John Sayles is a great movie about the mine wars in West Virginia back in the 1920's.

It wasn't famous in the late 70's / early 80's when I grew up, but was a big hit in the 60's:

Instinct with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding, Jr. Anthony Hopkins plays a man who spends years in Africa working with gorillas until he is accepted by them. When the group is tracked down by hunters, Hopkins kills one of the men and is sent to a mental institution in the US. Cuba Gooding, Jr. is his doctor and gives an incredible performance. Great story, great acting. My synopsis doesn't do it justice.

The Burbs, a great 80s comedy with Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher. Tom Hanks and a few of his friends in the neighborhood are convinced that their new neighbors are serial killers. I don't remember it being a big hit, maybe because it's a little too offbeat to have attracted a big audience but it's funny and I enjoyed it. It came on tv on OCN last week, I think.

Four Rooms. Early 90s I think? It's been a while since I've seen it but I remember the story takes place in 4 different rooms of a hotel and it's all tied together at the end. I can't remember everyone in it but I know it stars Jennifer Beals and Antonio Banderas (before he was really famous).

Still not too sure what to make of it but I downloaded "Star-Wreck-in-the-pirkinning" last night. Very strange! I think I actually really liked it, mainly because it was in Finnish, and had a fair bit of scandinavian humour in it. Worth having a look!!

I'm a lazy ass. I couldn't be bothered to check every page on this thread.
Has anybody mentioned Primer? Great little film, low budget sci-fi and it only lasts about 70 minutes.

It is about two guys who build a machine that allows them to bend, create a hole in, a bubble in time sort of thing... nope I have seen it about 5 times and I still don't understand what is going on exactly.

The Tall Guy with Jeff Goldblum, Rowan Atkinson & Emma Thompson.

I have yet to meet anyone else who has ever heard of this movie let alone watched it. Maybe it was just a dream? A very very funny dream?
