Hi,
I want to close the transaction through a 3rd party company who will take care of shipping and payment too. I will pay the shipping fee because if not they will not start the shipping procedure.
Here is how I want to go with the delivery and payment for the bike. Also you will have the chance to inspect the bike before I receive the payment for it.I will explain to you step by step how this will gonna be:
1)First you have to send me your shipping information (your full name and address).
2)After I will receive your shipping info, I will ship the bike at the address provided by you.
3) The third party company will give me a tracking number. With the tracking number you will check on the company website and see that the bike is their custody, ready for shipping and their payment instructions.
4) You must follow their instructions and complete the payment as you have been instructed by them. After you will complete the payment, you must confirm the payment to them. They will check your payment info and if everything is ok, they will start the shipping procedure.
5) After you will receive the bike you will have a 3 days inspection period, so you can test and inspect the bike. After the inspection period you must take a decision if you will keep or not the bike.If you will reject the bike you will receive a full refund of your payment. I will receive your money only if you will keep the bike and after you will give the permission to the company to release the payment for me.
So if you are interested to start this transaction please send me YOUR FULL NAME and ADDRESS so I can start the shipping procedure. |
This smells real funny to me. Or could be a really good deal on a bike. What do you think? |

The price alone makes it funny.
Don't.
Didn't even have to read it.
The guy could get that much for a wrecked one someone wanted to rebuild close to home. And in California, there are so many people who'd buy it in a second. |

Oh, i looked again. It says it's in Korea.
I bet he accidentally dropped a "1" off of the front of the price. |

Nope...not in Seoul. A previous email:

Hello,
First of all I must inform you that I am an american guy and now I am in Los Angeles, CA with the bike. I have worked in Korea for the last 2 years and I've purchased the bike there. Now my work contract has finished there and my company wanted me back. I had the privilege to buy this bike for a low cost from a bankrupt showroom,so you have now the opportunity to purchase the bike from me at great saving from the original price. The bike is still registered in Korea.
The bike is in good condition, has no technical damage at all, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects, no smoking, the engine has never been repaired or something like that, never been into accidents and it is as advertised. It's fun and robust to drive. Technical inspection and emissions testing is passed and stamped as well. It has title of ownership, cleared of any obligations or fees and comes with all the documents you need to register it on your name.
If you are interested I want to use a third party company who will take care of shipping and payment too. After you will receive the bike you will have a 3 days inspection period to take a decision if you will keep or not the bike.
If you are interested to start this transaction please send me YOUR FULL NAME and ADDRESS so I can start the shipping procedure.
Thank you |

Standard is 18 percent on anything over 150k won but it might be different for vehicles.
P.S.
Sounds fishy to me. I wouldn't do it unless this 3rd party is some reputable business that does this regularly. |

It seems like it should be in the $8500 range...
Interesting, I did a quick search and found another one going for the same price; I wonder if it's the same guy. This guy has it listed as being 3000 dollars and 3000 euros in the same ad. I wonder if you'll get the same email response from this one?

At the bottom of the page advertising this other $3000 one there is a warning:

| More like 10,000$. Anyway, it's a scam for sure. Strange only 3000$ for a bike like that in perfect condition. Not the same bike, though...different exhaust systems. |
