| Let's get back on topic. Russian skinheads attack asians. So what else is new? About 13 years ago, I was teaching in Moscow. One of my students took great pride in relating how he and his friends kicked the living crap out a NORTH KOREAN. |

Argue the principle not the symptom.
That is: should Chechnya become a separatist, islamic, stand alone republic, disconnected from the rest of the Russian Federation?
I would agree absolutely NO.
HOWEVER ... skinhead neo-nazism is not a useful way to express such a view - bashing people up physically, does not resolve the political question.
Similarly, before leaping to blindly defend Chechens, think of the Moscow theater siege, the Beslan school massacre, numerous suicide car bombings in Russia: many Chechens themselves are advocating an equally dangerous agenda as the Russian nationalists.

........and this has what to do with neo-nazis skinheads beating up Asians? |
