... only Korean passport holders can apply through Sebang, in accordance with regulations laid down by the International Olympic Committee, according to Kim Doo-il, in charge of ticketing at the Korean Olympic Committee.
If you are a foreigner living in Korea and want to purchase tickets, you have to apply through the Olympic organization or through an authorized agent in your own country, Kim said.... |

| That is a rule of the IOC not Korea. Each country is alloted a certain number of tickets for their citizens. It is the same in Canada, the US and everywhere else. You can apply for tickets from your home country. Read the article before blaming Korea. |

| Fair enough. I am in a blame Korea mode today so I am blaming them for pretty much everything. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed. However, last time I checked permanent residents of Canada can buy Olympic tickets from Canada. That can't be done in Korea. I believe that isn't an IOC rule. |

are you sure it's for citizens as opposed to residents? people working here on visas should be allowed the same courtesy as anyone else. not to say that's gonna happen, but all the same - |

| Reminds me of an incident in the US regarding the US IOC office and someone from New Mexico. |
