|
|
From the Hyundai Department store to the Gallaria there are all these apartments that used to be the Cat's Pajamas about 8 years ago. I think I have a Lonely Planet that lists them as something of a tourist destination, to see how the well heeled Koreans live on the south side of the river.
Fast forward. They're looking pretty run down. Dirty walls, cracks. Really not much different from the lower middle class places I see up here in Nowon.
WTF? What ever happened to maintaining your investment? |

its an apartment so you can exactly go out and just paint your flat!
those houses are sitting gold mines though..
they bought those places for around 150 million and today are worth 1 billion won.. they will wait about 20 years more when hyundai will rebursh them for free, knock them down and redo them! and those tenants will recieve brand new apartments worth a million dollars and then sell them! and retirement is set! same goes for the ones in shinchoen near chamsil. those are gold mines waiting to happen! that complex is huge and all the apartments are only 4 stories high most of them.. they will be pulled down and rebuilt into super brand new high raises! man anyone who bought land south of the river in the 70' or 80's MADE IT RICH!! BIG TIME!! |

Take a visit one of these days. All the Chamshil 5-story apts were pulled down a few years ago and the new apts are in the finishing stages--what a huge project.
The Hyundai Apgujeong apts are crappy from the outside, but many of the insides are very nice. |

That would be members of the transitional government of Choi Gyu Ha, the interim president and a former prime minister, and all their cronies. I heard that they bought up all the land in Gangnam and then forced it to be developed by moving the best schools in Korea down there. The ajummas followed, and the rest is history. It used to be rice fields. |

Or maybe they'll be screwed by Hyundai. In which case, 20 years from now, the newly rebuilt namdaemun will be newly burned the hell down! |

"many of the insides are nice"
The man has "see through" vision and very POOR taste.
"look crappy from the outside" can you see through walls?
edit--dipshit didn't understand what I meant.

Hey Regicide,
Is the Obama thing ironic? I don't want to vote for the same guy as you. |

And, no, I haven't taken the time to read your posts, just the ones that were dissing me.
And it's "seen", I would venture. |

No --- shit for brains, its not. See the amended post for dummies.
And I thought about the possibility that rooting for Obama and making enemies here may have a counter effect on the candidate of my choice.
Then I thought- - I don't care.
And I will tell you all once more- - give me some crap and I will give it back.
If you dont vote for Obama because of that - - Oh darn. |

You know what would be funny:
1: Barack Hussein Obama is a muslim.
2: Barak is a secretly Al Qaeda.
3: The terrorists win simply by becoming president.
<This would make a good movie. I am not American...but I would feel your pain.> |
