Blind Canadian blues guitarist and jazz aficionado Jeff Healey has died at the age of 41, after a long battle with cancer.

Jeff Healey Dies

I saw him on his "See The Light" tour; an amazing player and a true inspiration.

A lot of my friends at the time couldn't stand the fact that the media hyped him up (especially key singles that had to do with 'sight', "See The Light", "Angel Eyes") because he was blind, but he was still a great talent.

Very sad to see a guy like that go so young.

I didn't hear that. Sad. I noticed in Toronto last week there was a "Healey's Blues bar " near the skydome on Peter street.

This is weird...I just made a comment about him when my friend was playing Guitar Hero with the controller on his lap.

Man, makes me want to see "Roadhouse" again --- the ultimate 80's guilty pleasure movie.

A very unfair loss of a huge talent.
