I will soon be going on a visa run to Japan to get an E7 visa. Can this be done at any of the Korean embassies in Japan or do i need to go to Tokyo. The reason i am asking is a co-worker was sent to Tokyo, but had to wait 3 days for the visa. I can't afford to stay in Tokyo for 3 days so am looking for a cheaper alternative. A one day trip to somewhere else in Japan that can get me the visa on that day would be perfect.

Fukuoka. If you drop off your passport and application before lunch, they generally have it ready to pick up the following morning. You only have to stay overnight.

I believe the same is true of Osaka, but my personal experience is only with Fukuoka.

Congratulations on finally getting the visa you were after.

You can do the same in Osaka. Be there first thing in the morning so that you can get it the next day, in the afternoon. Unfortunately, you can no longer do the same day visa application and pick up that could be done years ago.

Make sure you check the websites for hours, etc.

Cheers guys.

I've been waiting so long for this visa that i'll only believe it when it's stamped in my passport.
It's a disappointment that i can't make the visa run in a day but i guess 2 days is better than 3.

Thanks again for the info.
