| 32bit can only utilize 3 gigs of that 4. Anyhow, the 64bVista's that are floating around on torrent sites are activated. Burning a iso image is a no brainer, but it's better to use a dual layered dvd and burn it off at the slowest speed. There are torrents that say Vista sp1 but don't think they work. Give the crackers a little more time, though. I put on Vista 64 last weekend and it's licensed and updates. Programs are available if you search for them. Of course, most programs are made for 32bit. |
The version you had would only fit on a DL disk.
It applied changes and updates automatically after it was setup and nothing untoward happened. Be interesting to see what happens. |

I guess you mean the same version I have then, and no, it wasn't a DL disk.
Anyhow, yes, so far, all updates are fine. SP1 will most certainly change that however, as the version is indeed vista loader BIOS hack, which SP1 apparently breaks.
Give it time.
I did try to update an SP1 from torrents and I got an error saying that the SP1 version was incompatible with the languages (Korean) installed on my system.
Gotta wait. |

It's odd that you few guys on this board are the only ones on the internet with positive reviews of Vista. Must be something in the drinking water
I've yet to find a positive review of this thing from a tech website. Most of the positive things I read is that it has a few new features (and eye-candy) for a whole lot of expense in terms of system resources.
But we'll all have to switch over eventually, this is MS after all...and it'll surely get better with time and service packs. But I have a feeling it's going to be the second coming of WinME. |

Nah, it was another version that was supposed to include sp1 cracked but, in the end no sp1. |
