About to send my CV and other details off to a few recruiters. I'm looking for a few recommendations on which ones to send to as there seem to be hundreds. Either ones you have heard fairly good things about or that you have used before.
Oh yeah, I don't need any "don't use a recruiter, apply direct. recruiters bleep you over" messages.

Thanks

Ann and Joyce at Korvia. They used to be with Worknplay a few years ago, then went out on their own.

Most of the jobs are not listed on their site. They hire for public schools.

I'd say go straight to Joyce Kim at Korvia. She is really helpful, answers emails quickly, fully and truthfully and that's all you can ask...

I haven't actually used Rowan either but seeing as the guy went out of his way to advise me about the new visa regulations even though their was nothing in it for him, I can only assume that he would be just as helpful or even more someone actually using his services to find employment.

Blanket your resume to every recruiter you can find, then sit back and wait while they do their jobs. Have specific wants and needs in mind, including housing (or allowance), travel, salary, contact hours...whatever floats your boat, and then STICK TO IT.

Never feel pressured to take a job. Remember that the recruiter gets paid for getting you here. Period. Yes, some are more helpful than others, but in the end, you're a buck to them. Use them, and don't be manipulated.

For the Daejeon area, public and private schools, I have utilized Richard Slezak of Top Gun Recruiting. He works and lives in Daejeon and was extremely helpful and quick to respond to me during the entire process.

Again, OP, use ALL of the recruiters. There are a TON of them, and it isn't tough to figure out why. It's easy work, and everyone wants on the ESL Korea gravy train. Many recruiters will tell you about all the hard work they do for you. Whatever.

Joyce at Korvia is very good ([email protected]). Plenty of help getting our visas and great support after we got to Korea as well.
