Good. Put the monkey on defense for a change.

Quote:
(CNN) -- Colombian President Alvaro Uribe said Tuesday that he will seek Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez's denunciation in court for financing a terrorist group.

Camilo Ospina, Colombia's ambassador to the United Nations, will go before the International Criminal Court to accuse Chavez of "supporting and financing genocides," Uribe told reporters.

The Colombian leader alleged Monday that correspondence taken from computers seized in last weekend's military raid into Ecuador showed Chavez had given $300 million to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

Venezuelan officials have denied Colombia's allegations.

Colombia's largest rebel group, known by the Spanish acronym FARC, has sought to overthrow the government for more than 40 years. The United States and European Union consider the FARC a terrorist organization...

Agreed: put him on the defensive.

This tinpot dictator needs to be exposed for what he is.

And if Uribe can demonstrate Venezuelan interference in Columbian domestic affairs it will certainly make Chavez' prior accusation ring hollow.

Unlike Chavez, Uribe is one cool cat--and a smart one at that.

Yeah. Everyone is aiming to assassinate or is plotting coups against him, he screams from his weekly television show, while he backs and funds Colombian guerrillas operating out of Ecuadorian bases.

Moron. More of a klutz than Oliver North with respect to covert ops. Remember when he pledged to keep his eyes on us? I guess it never occurred to him that a third-country might stage a raid into Ecuador and seize incriminating evidence against him, million-dollar transactions that he and his operatives kept computer records of...for what...? To write it off later? Laughing

You can bet your bottom dollar that Tehran and Damascus are not so careless when it comes to Hezbollah. Perhaps this and the probable censure if not an actual conviction might lead them to reconsider their friendly relations with this buffoon who seems to believe he is untouchable.

Chavez really does come across as an idiot at times. I mean, talk about stoking a fire.

At times? The man is an idiot. And a murderer -- there's no question he's been funding FARC; this has been an open secret for years.

FARC are a bunch of real sweethearts. They like to use scopolamine (one of the alkaloids in belladonna and Jimson weed) to drug people and get them to turn over their possessions, bank accounts, family members etc. Don't ever, ever, ever accept a drink from a stranger in Colombia.

And like all leftwing idiots who've benefited from feeble UN resistance to their strategems and often outright support, Chavez operates from the assumption that he is above reproach in the community of public opinion, that what he declares social injustice actually is unjust, and however he attains his ends justifies the means.

Well, the Frito Bandito is going to get his comeuppance soon enough. He's not as smart as Uribe, not as well backed militarily, and not as discreet.

And the US still buys oil from Venezuela.

If the US were serious it would stop buying oil from Venezuela.
