Is the Korean version in the Korean language or English? Just trying to see if I'll be paying extra for the region free version or not.

The PS3 version has English dialogue but Korean menus and subtitles.

It's fine for the main game but playing online is a annoying with the many Korean menus.

usually game developers will have the same localization for multiple platforms. so there is a pretty high chance that it would be the same as the ps3.

COD4 is not region locked, so you can order it from NA or get someone you know to send you a copy.

Yeah I checked with playasia.com and they're selling the NA version for 65k. I just don't like paying that much for a game. Thanks for the replies.

i was at yongsan today getting computer parts and had some extra time to go to najin arcade. i asked a few of the retailers if the korean version had english menus. all of them said no. only english audio. I also checked the back of the game case, and it says the same thing.

so go figure. Confused

maybe the english menu is available if your 360 localization is set to English. i dunno.

Who do you believe a foreigner or a muppet at the games section?

i'm not doubting you at all. i used to work at a very big gaming company, so i'm familiar with the localization process. most of the games shipped to asia only had asian localization. but other gaming companies may differ.

as for trusting a foreigner vs korean in this situation, i would pick the foreigner of course. retail business practices in korea are substandard compared to NA/EU. but i won't completely dismiss what they say, as i don't want to assume that they are always lying or wrong.

my 'throwing caution into the wind' was from a weird incident last year, i wanted to buy the korean version of blue dragon (to learn 한국어 by playing games). i had the cash in my hand ready to buy, but i wanted to make sure that it was the KR version. so i asked them 'hangook-o eesoyo?'. NOPE, it was the japanese import version with a korean cover!

so now i hope you can understand where i am coming from. no hard feelings, ok? Smile

I bought my copy of COD4 at HomePlus, because I was too impatient to wait for PlayAsia's shipping. The version I have has a Korean manual, Korean in-game menus, but English sound.
