hours from heading to the airport the boss gave my fellow teacher her "retirement"/13th month bonus.
she was naturally planning on the full 2.0+ amount. one little thing- the boss deducted a full years worth of taxes out of the last check. ouch.
lotsa little nickle and dime stuff as well. seems she gets about half of what she thought she was coming.
her burn is my foreshadowing. i will plan accordingly. |

he had told her/us that taxes would be taken care of by him. apparently he took care of them by collecting all of the taxes at once, literally hours from departing. |

Ha, like he's actually going to pay those taxes.
If I were you, I'd call tax, pension, and health. Because if he's taking care of taxes, then you've been paying them (or he's been paying them on your behalf), right?

Taxes and Death, the only sure things in life. Your co-teacher just thought she was gonna avoid paying taxes. Sucks to be her. |

Not in Korea.
Shafted, pocketed, and death are the only sure things in Korea. |

How will she be able to apply for her tax refund if she's overseas? |
