After my contract is finished, I have a month or two to travel around Southeast Asia and I'm interested in going to Malaysia, Indonesia, Bali and the Philippines. However, I don't have much time. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best places to go from their traveling experiences? I'm looking for less city and more adventure (or as much as time will allow haha). Thank you! |

Depends what you want to do, but Lombok is probably better for an adventure than Bali (which is in Indonesia, btw). I'd suggest Flying to KL, doing the Cameron highlands and maybe an east coast beach before getting a cheap Air Asia flight to Bali then the boat to Lombok. There you could do the Gili Islands and some snorkeling or diving and then go back and climb the volcano. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask. |

Read a lonely planet - see what catches your attention. The best way to find adventure is by avoiding other tourists. |

Bali is fine, I guess - but you would do better getting to the Gili Islands (esp. Gili Trawangan) and/or over to Lombok.
If you also happen to be a diver, then absolutely.
