This is not about having sympathy for a totally hateable popstar, this is about the fact that you seem to have confused real women with blow-up dolls.

I think you've confused popstars with real women.

Also, sorry about thinking that you were anti-racist. I clearly misjudged you. Most of the time when I hear skinheads whinging about how you're not all neo-nazis, it comes from SHARP types. I tend to forget that some of you simply dislike hair or whatever.

SHARPs are mostly bigoted assholes who run around finding Nazis where there are none.

By the way, you're right. Your joke translates with hilarious results into a racial slur: Imagine a couple of white landowners in Virginia - "Man, I hate listening to that f*ing Wu-Tang Clan, but they'd be ok for picking cotton!!" Funny stuff for sure.

Now that's just lame.

I think they were joking about Avril.

She's one of the people I would put on my theoretical "If a plane was crashing who would you want to be on it" plane. Avril is a good argument for abortion. The only way you could call Avril punk is if you take into account how much more punk she makes me, as in it makes me want to punch girls who look like her in the face. I wouldn't even rape Avril. I hope she pokes her eye out with the mascara brush. Avril is proof Canadians are pussies. Avril is proof the Devil is real and you can sell your soul for success, but that wily old Morningstar will twist the wish into success while sucking. Avril is a war criminal. Avril was one of the ways the Gitmo boys tortured their prisoners. Everytime I see Avril I go days without an erection. I would pay to see Tori Amos fight Avril.

Whoa. I know you're joking, but do I really have to be the one to say that normalizing rape isn't funny?

If it's normalizing rape to say all the hacks, male and female, should be stuffed, then yes, you have to say it.

Please look up Neil Hamburger or any other punk comics then get back to me.

"What's the difference between Neil Armstrong and Michael Jackson? Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Michael Jackson raped children."

If I have to spell it out: Basically, when you say "I wouldn't even rape Avril" you're saying "There are lots of people I would rape and that's ok, but I wouldn't rape avril 'cause I hate her so much." Remind me never to get on your good side.

And I'm through playing punkier-than-thou with you, so you can relax, ok?

You're convoluting a fairly clear cut issue. A joke should never have to fit into the confines of what is socially responsible or politically correct. Clearly you don't agree with this, and I don't mean to up your ire by dismissing your concerns, but you're wrong. Humor should be offensive. The source of comedy is truth and pain, and the tweaking of those along with the audiences expectations and presumptions. To take from the joke I enjoy raping is ridiculous.

I'm not playing punkier than thou, I'm refuting your... stupidity. Jackassery. I'm not sure, maybe just ridiculous world view.

If I was playing punkier than thou I would say I'm going to beat you will my Bikini Kill albums. That I hope you choke on your PC. That I'm sending the SHARPs after you for being a feminazi. Than I've alerted Lydon and your credentials have been revoked. That the extra rrrs in your grrrl power stand for ridiculous, retarded, and refuse. Or simply that you couldn't possibly be a punk after taking that stand. (Please note the preceding are JOKES, and not serious.)

A lot of people think that being punk is about being the pinnacle of social responsibility. We've had a few foreigners come to our board and yell at us all for not being vegan enough. And of course there are a ton of people who think being punk is about being as irresponsible as possible. Some of them think it's okay to kick little girls and cause a big mess for show promoters. I think both sides are idealists guilty of retardation.

Both The Exploited and Crass represent the two extremes.
My definition of punk is just thinking for yourself. In that regard the period from 1976-79 was much better.

I don't think you can ever put a bunch of loud non-comformists together and expect them to agree on everything.
I also don't think that you can say hateful, offensive things publicly and not expect to be challenged from time to time...stop being so annoyed.

Specifically what supposedly was happening in the UK before the whole Sid Vicious plus mohawk uniform plus jerk attitude thing took off. Though some of the DC bands had that going for them, some didn't.

The Punk Years on YOUTUBE is pretty informative. It also introduces alot of different perspectives from people like John Lydon, Steve Ignorant
Garry Bushel, Poly Styrene, Pauline Black from The Selector.

You're also not going to last long around punks if you don't know how to take a joke.

Gaah...I can't resist. I've lasted plenty long around punks already. And I have enough of a sense of humour to realize that all this is pretty funny coming from a skinhead Very Happy

Maybe you're from one of those ultra-PC scenes where everyone volunteers for Food Not Bombs and lace colours are inspected at the door of all events, but that's not what it's like here.

And if you're a skinhead you need ten times the good humour of a punk.

I can remember our local newspaper writing a thing about the color of your laces and political affiliation rubbish

A lot of those so called punks who listened to Crass and preached vegetarianism would never part with their beloved studded leather jackets.

Racetraitor, are you a skinhead or just bald?

It's sad when punk, which should be an inherently anti-'fascist' ideology, get taken over by 'your with us or against us' types instead of the 'gooble gobble's.
