So, I get to school today and there's a note on my desk that says I won't have any classes to teach today because the students will be being tested all day. Can you believe it? (Rhetorical question.) Of course, you can believe it if you're a ps teacher.

And this was one of the few days (I can count them on one hand) that I didn't bring my musical instrument to school.

Oh, what to do. What to do. I've already seen all the Harry Potter movies.

OK. I found a very interesting video with some very interesting musical, dancing girls on YouTube.

For music lovers ONLY!

I am also in a ps, but am not meant to be starting in class until tomorrow. However my co-teacher has asked me to drop by her class and her students will ask me some questions. I am bored enough that I will be very glad of this.

Oops. Accidental duplicate.

Sometimes I get cranky when I click "Submit" and it takes for ever. Then I click it again. Sometimes with undesirable results.

I have no classes today either (same reason). I've been catching up on all sorts of 'personal' work, surfing 'Dave's', and am going home early. Laughing

Well, no, I don't. That's beause I've always been a hick -- born in N.C., raised in Virginia. I play hick music on one of the hickiest instruments.

Well, an anti-racist, anti-imperialist, anti-ruling class hick, anyway.

However, recently I did play with some incredibly talented non-hick musicians in Itaewon. One was a very cool Aussie drummer -- the standard drum kit some of the time, and a dumbek (middle eastern drum) the rest of the time. And a great Quebequios (sp?) bass player. Really first rate musicians. Great time.
