I like XP ....but I haven't tried Vista. I've heard some not good things about Vista. I have read a few reviews.
How about some opinions or experiences using those OS's in Korea.... |

Some people are having a great time with VISTA, but many are not.
I use my computer for gaming so VISTA is a really waste of around 20-30 fps in some cases. The Dx10 revolution turned out to be nothing but hot air as far a graphics are concerned.
Many people are very happy with VISTA, but most of the overclocking and gaming forums I read dismiss it as flawed, people are waiting to see what SP1 bring or even SP2 as it took that long for XP to be satisfactory. |

As the guy above "rolleyes" said, if the main use of your PC is playing games go for XP. And yes, I know I'm contradicting myself. In the other thread I mentioned that I bought Vista 64bit for games. But hey, I'm running Vista on MBP, have 4 gigs of RAM and want to use it all, and the games I play aren't that demanding: UT2004, HOMM V Tribes of the EAST.
Vista is the future... until the next MS OS comes out in few(?) years. Vista will get better with time. Games that suffer performance wise under Vista, will very likely run better as new patches and drivers come out. |

Go on, what games are utilizing Dx10? Crysis!!! The Dx10 hack available for XP makes Crysis look just as good as Dx10.
I can't think of any games that Dx10 has a major advantage, yet.
I'm not getting VISTA for quite a while yet, I'll let others iron out the problems |

There's a hack for Crysis that makes it work on DX9? Oh, that's funny. |

No, there is a hack so you get the Dx10 effects while using Dx9 in XP.....
Sorry, didn't realize that was so hard for you to understand

Anyway, back on topic if you want VISTA get it by all means, I'm just giving my opinion.
It's good to have some different view points rather than just the rolling of eyes.
