I'm only going to the Philippines for a weekend and I was wondering what the cheapest flight deals are for there starting in the beginning of april. Are there any late night or very early morning flights on Friday and what are the very early morning flights on Saturday? I've looked for a few hours and come up with prices like 700 dollars. That's crazy in my mind. Also, is there good shopping in these places?

All the flights to Cebu are evening flights. Korean air and Asiana have red-eye flights for the return. Pal does the return in the afternoon.

With current taxes and fuel surcharges you are not going to get much less than 700k to Boracay or Cebu.

Alternatively you can look at Asian spirit for a flight to Kalibo (and the 2 hour v-hire ride to Caticlan) or fly into Manila (or even CLARK) on Fri PM/Sat AM on the best rate you can find and then get a domestic flight locally (they are usually much cheaper that way).

You can also try one of the scheduled charter flights on Cebu Pacific from Incheon to either Cebu or Manila and then head to Boracay if that is your plan.

Weekend rates ARE significantly higher than midweek for flights from Korea to places with beaches or golf courses.

You may also want to look at a flight to Manila and then a PAL flight to Tagbilaran (Alona beach). Catch the Friday red-eye to Manila and the breakfast flight to the beach on Sat AM.

The shopping is price wise OK in Cebu, Boracay (go to the handicraft mall on the main street behind boatstation 2 and NOT D'Mall.)

You really seem to know your stuff, so I'm gonna ask you one more thing.
I NEED to go on vacation to somewhere cheap, just for a weekend. I really would prefer somewhere with beaches and some cocktails, just somewhere to relax, maybe shop. The problem is I have to leave from Busan. What are your recommendations? I don't know much about vacations from Korea.

Busan and cheap and quick don't seem to fit together when it comes to a vacation - except perhaps for the ferry to Japan.

I don't know anything about the flights out of Busan... try cruising the airport's website and find out who is flying out of there and that will give you some idea of which airlines you can start looking at for cheap flights.

Cathay Pacific now has flights out from Busan, to different destinations. They have promo fares as well. Just visit www.cathaypacific.com and go to the "Korea" country site. They have it in English, so not to worry.

You'll probably have to look for the online deals. There are many to choose from.

Try ttangcheori.com. Tickets to Cebu go for around 333,000 won roundtrip, but out of Incheon. If you fly Cebu Pacific, your flight will be around 9:35 p.m. and your return flight should return to Incheon around 9:05 p.m.
